The Doha Metro and Lusail Tram networks have announced the launch of a new Metrolink route M154, introduced on 28 June 2026 to provide alternative connectivity during the temporary suspension of tram services in Lusail. The suspension, which began on 26 June, will continue until 5 July 2026, affecting several key stations across the city.
The newly implemented M154 route is designed to ensure uninterrupted access to areas surrounding the closed tram stations, offering commuters reliable transport links during the maintenance period. The service will cover the following stations: Lusail Stadium, Al Khayl Street, Rawdat Lusail, Downtown Lusail, Fox Hills North, Al Yasmeen, Seef Lusail North, Crescent Park North, and Erkiyah.
Officials emphasized that the introduction of the M154 route reflects the commitment of Doha Metro and Lusail Tram to maintaining passenger convenience and minimizing disruption. The service will operate through the Metrolink feeder bus system, connecting residential and commercial areas to the wider metro and tram network.
Passengers are encouraged to use the Karwa Journey Planner app and official communication channels to access updated schedules, route maps, and service advisories. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance flexibility in Qatarโs public transport system, ensuring that commuters continue to enjoy safe, efficient, and accessible travel options even during temporary closures.
By deploying the M154 route, authorities aim to strengthen confidence in the integrated transport network, highlighting its ability to adapt quickly to operational needs while prioritizing passenger convenience.
